Proverbs 12

I love the wisdom of Solomon. He seems to be my kind of guy. Straight to the point, doesn't mind how random the thought. God gave him so much wisdom and insight into so many things.

Today as reading the 12th chapter of the book of Proverbs this stuck out to me:
"The way to a fool seems right to him,
but a wise man listens to advice." (v.15)

Solomon answers the age old question: "Why people to foolish things."
THEY ARE FOOLS AND KNOW NO BETTER!!!
The good news is... "Even while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us" and even more pertinent "while we are all fools Christ does not give up on us."

Some steps in not being a fool are pretty simple:
1. Walk in the wisdom of God's word
2. Learn from your mis-steps
3. Listen to "wise" counsel
4. Commit to taking the next right step

As we grow from life experiences we have the opportunity to become wiser.
The trick is, making the choice towards wisdom and away from foolishness.
