"A hot-tempered man stirs up dissension,
but a patient man calms a quarrel."
----Proverbs. 15:18
I am not a fan of the U.F.C. (a form of fighting that is just a step above street fighting). I have always been this way. In school I never wanted to see two people take swings at one another, in order to cause pain on the other. I don't like seeing people get hurt. Much less, getting hurt over what is too often, a meaningless issue.
Most all fights (both physical and verbal) become escalated, when one person says something that serves as a tipping point for the conflict. the discouraging issue, is that many times, what was said was not meant. There is a danger when we allow anger to lead the conversation.

Today, I am going to do whatever possible to pursue peace with the people that God allows me to interact with today. I hope that you would do the same. I wonder what this world would look like if we chose to settle conflict in a manner, where we didn't have to say we were sorry for something we didn't mean to say?
