Judah offers his life in place of Benjamin. He is willing to take the form of a slave, the punishment for his younger brother, and ultimately do what his father has asked him to do (bring Benjamin back to him because his is precious to him).
I do not believe this is just a coincidence. Judah family line includes some of our greatest blblical hero's. David, Solomon, Ruth to name a few. Oh yeah, this other guy to... maybe you have heard of Him. Jesus of Nazareth. The Messiah, the Christ.
Judah offers to become a slave in place of Benjamin.
Jesus offers His life in place of ours.
He takes the punishment for the things we have done wrong toward the King Eternal.
So we can be close to this King and experience the greatest of all the Kingdoms, because we are precious to Him.
"Jesus, thank You that sin could not defeat You. Help me to walk in the light of Your ways and shine the way You are calling me to."
