Genesis Thirty

I think this is where ABC got their idea for Wife Swap. It is interesting to me the customs of Jacob's time. It seems to be a lot of work and I am not sure I would like this. Apparently the wives were not big fans of it either. I am glad that God has changed our customs here for us. I don't want to have to compete for the love of my wife and I do not believe it is fair for her to have to compete for mine.

This is important to write as we live in the world of "secret adultery". Much of the Internet has become a breeding ground for lust. As well as most prime time television shows. Pornography has become a business, a multi-billion dollar industry catering to the superficial needs of man. Misty should not have to compete for my love with real or illusionary people.

God wants to be the only god in my life. He does not wish to share me with anyone. When we refuse to share our love with other lesser gods, we experience a love like nothing else. The Enemy wants to distort love and corrupt our hearts. Much of the time we make this easy for him.

"Father, help me protect my heart today and give it to only You and Misty."
