Luke Seven

“…she brought an alabaster jar of perfume, and as she stood behind Him at His feet weeping, she began to wet His feet with her tears.”
-----Luke 7:37-38

This ladies brokenness over her sin is convicting to me. I believe the truth that we are saved by grace. However, at times I take this to unrealistic extremes. Here we see a scene of a lady that knows that the things she has done and realizes the One she has done them to.

To quote the words of John Piper: “Long before sin is a damage to man, it is a dishonor to God.” I do not wish to take sin lightly. It has the power to kill relationships, opportunities and dreams.

“Jesus, break my heart for the sins in my life. Help me find restoration and freedom in You alone.”
