Luke Two

"This child is destined to cause the falling and rising of many in Israel, and to be a sign that will be spoken against, so that the thoughts of many hearts will be revealed. And a sword will pierce your own soul too."

Simeon nails it on the head here. As he prophesies about Jesus I am amazed at the accuracy of his statements. It is said that the Holy Spirit was upon him. I believe this offers great insight into the work of the Spirit of God.

The Holy Spirit does amazing things when we are acceptable to it's leading. Our job is staying aware in moments when it is time to experience the work of God in our lives. Simeon does it here and from hindsight we see the accuracy of what God revealed to His heart.

"Jesus, help me today experience the Holy Spirit where it is most at work."
