Matthew Nineteen

"When the young man heard this,
he went away sad,
because he had great wealth."
-----Matthew 19:22

This young man knew about priorities and what mattered most. He longed for eternal life. Just was not willing to pay the price for it. He seemed to be pretty good at playing the game of life by most of the rules but when Jesus said to sell all he had, there in lied the deal breaker.

The comfort of 'stuff' may make it easier to pay bills but that treasure has it's limitations. It only works on this side of eternity. Keeping a healthy perspective on what matters most will lead to fulfillment.

"Jesus, help me be willing to sell everything for the sake of Your name."
