"Anyone, who lives on milk, being still an infant, is not acquainted with the teaching about righteousness. But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil."
-----Hebrews 5:13-14
There is a deeper relationship that we develop with God as we grow in more of an understanding of Him. By both following His was and playing our part in His story. In order to experience this we must grow past just an elementary understanding of the topic of these verses.
It's kind of like this...
Basic arithmetic is valuable but only because it serves as the foundation of Algebra.
Surviving on mile is entirely possible. Thriving on milk with run it's course. Babies need the nutrients of milk for a season, but as they grow different kinds of food will help them develop and bring them greater satisfaction (think strained peas and prime rib).
This principle also applies as we experience the adventure of our lives with God.
"Father, help me taste and see how good You are everyday."
