1 Timothy Six

"But godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it."
----- 1 Timothy 6:6-7

In our society the word contentment comes with a negative connotation. We tend to equate it with settling for less than what is available. Paul speaks truth to Timothy in this passage. There is a danger we all face in the pursuit of the almighty dollar. We can believe the lie that if we have more money then we will be happier people, living fuller lives. Fulfillment can only be found by being near to God. All other emotions of fulfillment are fleeting. We leave everything we work for here on this earth when we die. Especially our legacy. What will yours be?

"Father, help me understand that You are more than enough for me."
